WOYWW 500

Good afternoon and Happy New Year ladies .... this deserves a drum roll and trumpet fanfare - 500 weeks of what's on your workdesk.  I may only have joined in the fun some 18 months ago, but I'm loving it!  Thank you Julia and The Stamping Ground for this wonderful blog hop!

My New Year's Eve day was spent decorating my front porch, and one wall now beckons me for some artwork.  So my desk has yesterday's ideas.  Today at work, I changed my plans - and was thinking 3 colour washed boards and maybe some large newspaper butterflies.  Goodness knows what tomorrow's idea will be!  Suffice to say I won't be completing said artwork until I have definitely maybe decided on what I probably could possibly want.

My main desk has my practise board.

Smaller size, with different papers/cards, as I had some tonic studios crackle base and top coats, and wanted to see how they performed on the different papers.  The crackle looks good, just doesn't show up too well on the pale background.

That's all from me, apart from to say thank you for visiting and please leave a comment, I love to read them.  Have a lovely week Heather x

Let your ideas evolve whichever way they choose to! I like what you've done so far - you can still add those newspaper butterflies to them, just smaller ones. Hope to see what you come up with next time! Happy New Year, Heather! zsuzsa #19

Hello Heather

Happy New Year and Happy 500th WOYWW - such an achievement on Julia's part.

Super ideas you have created there, hope you will show said porch when it's completed :-) I have brushos out on the table - no further than that. I have been trying to get back into crafting mode today.
Thank you for the visit on Boxing Day - I had intended visiting everyone but once family arrived that was it. I've not done a lot since - until today. Anne x #18

Happy. New Year Heather, I like the crackle effect, your images looks great with the pastel colours. I’ve been busy making early birthday cards, quite hard to get inspired at the moment.
Have a great week

Hi Heather. I often start journal pages and then just leave them and come back sometimes months or even years later to complete them. Looking forward to another year of friendly creativity. Happy New Year and big hugs, Angela x16x

Great ideas and i do like the idea of having different destinations with artwork connected to that place.
I like a woman who has ideas and puts them into fruition.
How are the quilts - did they all get finished?
Happy New Year, see you around...

Hi Heather, that is a really smart idea to try the different pastes on different papers. I tend to forget I wanted the clear and end up reaching for the dries white ( more than once) lol someday I think I will sharpie marker the lids with what colors are inside haha. ~Stacy #27

Happy New Year Heather, you've created great backgrounds that look fab as they are or leave room for plenty more to be added. Just have fun and enjoy designing and creating them. I have artwork that I tinker around with even when it's been hanging on the wall for years.
Happy 500th Woyww, love that I found your friendship right here.
Wishing you a very healthy & happy 2019 Tracey #14

Hi Heather you remind me I’ve some crackle glaze somewhere, neglected.. yes do know where though! Which is more than I can say for some things! Lovely desks layout there on those three pages and I’m sure something will settle, one page at a time. I’m grateful to have met you this year at WOYWW with a whole lot of other wonderful WOYWWers.
Happy belated #500 WOYWW!
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x

Love the idea of putting some of your artwork in the porch, Heather, where all your visitors will get a good view of it! I hope you will share some photos when the time comes, whatever idea you finally come up with. Thank you for your visit and I'm sorry to be so long replying but we've been really busy lately and in between I've been exhausted. Not a great start to the new year!

Happy New Year and happy belated 500th WOYWW,
