Apologies for missing last week, I was fully occupied by my gorgeous 4 year old granddaughter, whilst her parents enjoyed a few days honeymoon in the Lake District.
A staged shot of my desk, as I've just packed away my laptop ready to go into the office tomorrow as I'm interviewing. But it shows I have done some crafting ... inspired by various YouTube videos. From left to right, some Christmas cards which I had fun making, still have to finish most of them off; a canvas - not sure what will end up on there, but something else for my craft room wall, and two more Christmas card toppers. Bottom one, I slightly messed up with not paying attention to ink types and promarkers - it will be hidden by a sentiment - lesson learned! Top one needs a sentiment and i think santa and his reindeer...
My daughter's wedding was small, but wonderful. Really rather cosy, and everyone had a lovely time. I had the honour of giving her away, it was quite an emotional time for all of us. Link to some photos for those interested here, courtesy of Mr M, whilst we await the official photos. My truffles were a hit, although I spent every evening before the wedding making them, and finishing off the favours boxes, and place cards ... definitely worth it though.
I also finished off the slate hearts that I showed a few weeks ago. Thank you all for the suggestions. I painted them with acrylic paint, and then heat embossed the stamps on. When it stops raining, I shall make my way to my potting shed and hang them up.
I will do my visiting after work, and hope to catch up with as many of you as I can!
Take care, and have a lovely week, Heather xx

went to see the photos - everyone looks beautiful and happy as they should! love the pics of the little'uns, so cute!
Your cards look great, too and so do the slates. Hope you can get to hang them up soon. Helen #2
I have seen Lavinia Stamps demoed at shows (remember those? LOL!) in the past and your versions looks fab. And well done on the wedding truffles. I'll bet they were a HUGE hit and well worth the effort! Love the hearts too, very sweet.
Happy WOYWW!

Hi Heather. Gosh you have been busy and it all looks lovely. The wedding sounded perfect. Anne x 11
Stunning photos - Mr M is a great photographer!! It looks such a beautiful day, so warm and loving, they look a very happy couple. I hope you enjoyed the day after all the preparations and walking your daughter down the aisle must have been wonderful. I’d have been sobbing!
Great C cards, the Lavinia is so pretty and I love the landscape too.

Wow, love your cards, Heather, especially the three blue ones with the blended backgrounds! The slate hearts are great too - very folksy-arty. Congrats to the newlyweds - lucky timing too just before the lockdown! Poor people who have to interview for jobs - I've had so many job interviews in my life, I've come to hate them. Please don't be too hard on your interviewees! It must be so stressful for them. Go with the ones that look genuine even if they say the wrong thing. I used to be great at sabotaging my own interviews that way LOL, just because I was truthful. Other than that, put your feet up - you've earned some 'me' time with all those wedding preparations! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #19
Hi Heather, so happy to hear everything went well, such a worry with all this Covid stuff on top of the normal wedding concerns. Love the cards,I do like doing scenic style ones myself. Made the same mistake before now with Promarkers and the wrong ink, lol, very easy to do. But nice recovery with the sentiment. The slates are fab, and will look awesome hanging up.Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X
Heather, oh my goodness, I LOVE your cards!!! They are beautiful!! And for the record, I don't see a mess up, but maybe I am just loving the beauty instead!!! So glad the wedding went off well, as it should have!!! And those slate hearts are so cute!! Blessings for the rest of your week! Felicia, #28
Fabulous cards Heather, especially the DL scenes. Couldn't resist the wedding photos. Your daughter definitely resembles you and everyone looked fantastic. Glad it went well and was sorted before the new lockdown. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #1
I have just this minute been doing a 'sun' lavinia style lol. Really must get out my bits and do some fairy cards... this is what happens when bloghopping, I keep getting reminded of things I could be doing (or buying). The wedding photos are lovely, glad it was a special day. Have a good week, stay safe, stay well, Cindy xx #16

I love all your inking and stamping... fabulous effects and the odd oops can often be remedied by a little creative adornment! Many a butterfly, flower, star or whatever has found its way onto a card front of mine!
Take care and stay safe!

I am so impressed with your cards, I love them all but the first scenic one with the lacy branches coming out from the left - how on earth did you do that - it is fantastic!
So glad the wedding went well and I must say how lovely the bride looked. She is very much like you and the photo of the two of you is a lovely one. I also liked the one of you with your grandee. And the little bridesmaid is adorable - no wonder you enjoyed your time with her whilst mummy was away.
Just happy that the wedding went off so well, the table looked lovely and I did like the touch of the fir cones, somehow it just added that final touch to everything. Your boxes and the place cards looked well.
I bet the sweeties were delicious - any samples frozen for the person you sit with at the crop?
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
only joking, honestly x
Thank you for your return visit, Heather, and it's nice to have an excuse to come back to your blog and look at your gorgeous cards again! I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to my blog. I always say eating whole-food plant-based isn't a "diet" as such (this implies it's something you "go on" for a time to lose weight and then relapse and put it all back on again) but more a way of life. I just don't think of eating anything else these days and I've had such fun this week exploring a few new recipes, and knowing that it's all good, good, good! It's not just the weight loss, either - that's just a side effect really - there is huge internal benefit going on, mostly unseen unless you get tested for various things. It enables the body to do its own natural healing, which it is so good at, given half a chance, which most people don't give it, eating all those foods that are so bad for us. It is quite miraculous, but unfortunately not quite miraculous enough to grow me a new colon haha! That's gone for good, but at least I can now do the best for my body despite the ravages of past illness.
Everyone is saying I should carry on with the tiny carpets! I wish there were more hours in the day... I have so many other things I want to do too.
The reason I instantly recognised that costume when it reappeared, was that I had already made my own version so all the details of it were very familiar to me. I was so pleased with how it turned out. Thank you for the added description of Nichola's dress - most interesting! I just loved the beautiful skirt too, and what a great idea, having the bolero jacket made, to make it her own style. I am so glad you were all able to have such a lovely celebration and be together, in these difficult times, and to be able to build such precious memories for the future too. So great to see the kids having such fun and having their shirts hang out haha!!
Optician's trip was OK - thanks for your good wishes - I will post about it next week.
