WOYWW 594

So much for my blogging good intentions.  Such a busy 3 weeks, but I thought I had better put in a quick appearance, before you think I have vanished off the face of the planet.   It's all systems go on the wedding front - 3 days and counting until my daughter's wedding, and I am now a mad crazy woman in the evenings, making handmade truffles, and finishing off place cards, etc.  I also decided to make made to measure boxes for the truffles!  The good news is I went shopping and both Mr M and I got our outfits on our first trip.  No photos of those yet.  My hydropod I featured in my last post is coming along nicely - about half a dozen of the cuttings have roots now ready to be planted up.  My bumper scrapbooking delivery arrived from Craftelier.

The final design favours box

The favours boxes that got rejected, and the final place card

My messy side desk

My scrapbooks and inserts on the floor, and one on the desk - no room for them until I tidy my craft room

Head on over to Julia's place at The Stamping Ground if you want to take part in WOYWW

I did see my spine consultant 3 weeks ago, who will refer me to a pain specialist, but first I had to see a lung specialist as the CT scan of my spine and chest area showed up a lesion in my right lung.  So - I had a Zoom consultation last Wednesday, and I will need CT scans during the next 2 years to monitor the lesion and make sure it doesn't grow or change shape, or become anything sinister.  It really is all go at the moment - I even forget it's my birthday tomorrow!

That's all for me - please do leave a comment if you stop by, I do visit as many desks as I can between Wednesday and Thursday, and if I miss you this week, amidst the wedding preparations, I will definitely catch it next week as I have a week off to recover, plus our granddaughter is coming to stay for a couple of days.

Take care, Heather xx

You picked the right box! And the place card is lovely. Good luck with your medical issues. Hope it all goes well. I’m typing with a line in my arm right now and it is not a lot of fun.being unwell.
But all that aside, do have a Happy Woyww!

Oh I hope the wedding is wonderful and everything your daughter wishes it to be - happy happy day to you all. The place card and boxes were great fun and if you have truffles left over.....just saying.... ;-). Hope the med consults have the outcome of making you feel better and it's good to be constantly checked, i find that reassuring. Wishing you an early Happy Birthday too!

Hi Heather. Oh my! I think I need a sit down in a darkened room... you certainly have a huge amount on your plates at the moment.
Firstly - have a really special birthday tomorrow. No forgetting it amidst the chaos and preparations.
Secondly, have a really precious day on Saturday. I'm sure the numbers must be limited, but I trust it is a great time for everyone.
Thirdly, trusting, too, that all the medical issues get sorted quickly, and that you won't have to wait long for appointments.
And fourthly, those little favours boxes and the place cards are lovely. Well done, mum!
Take care. God bless.

Oh my goodness, I don't blame you for being AWOL for a few weeks - it's a miracle you made it this week. So much going on - it's stressful to just read about it LOL! Hope all goes well on the wedding day - you probably have second thoughts about those boxes now LOL! Good news about the outfits - that's almost like the most stressful thing about weddings! Lucky I don't have to attend many - given that I live in a different country from most of my family - but I remember once I had to cancel as I just couldn't find anything to wear! Show us some pics when you next visit! Happy birthday by the way! Maybe you can take some time off for yourself after the wedding. Best of luck and hopefully good weather! xx zsuzsa #13

Gosh Heather, don’t even think about visits, you’ve got masses on your plate, and thank goodness some part of it all is so exciting...how lovely that the wedding is a goer, really look forward to some happy photos. Love the simplicity of the favours box. The sort of favours you’re making....if I were a guest they wouldn’t last beyond me sitting down and finding them! Yum! Hope the pain clinic can sort you quickly, golly, you’ve so much on your mind.

My goodness what a hive of activity, Heather - I'm not surprised you forgot it was your birthday haha! I love all the favour boxes and the name tags too. I hope your medical issues can be resolved. It's a difficult time to be involved with anything to do with hospitals, unfortunately.

Happy WOYWW,
