Die Storage

I have read so many blogs and looked at so many you tube videos on storage, and I am pleased to say I have finally settled on a die storage solution that I am happy with. I know it isn't unique .... but it suits my purposes.  I just need to sort through all my dies now.

My solution is A5 size backing boards, with magnetic sheet, stored in an A5 plastic wallet.  I re-used boards from A4 notepads, so they didn't cost anything.

The A4 magnetic sheets were bought at a craft fair £10 for 12 I think.

The plastic wallets were bought from Wilkinson (zip top style) and The Range (popper style) both 35p each.

I cut the A4 board in half.

Next was the A4 magnetic sheet

I added double sided tape to the back of the magnetic sheet

And then stuck the magnetic sheet to the backing board

Next, I sorted through my dies and categorised them.  First couple done

Finally I put two sheets into each plastic wallet, back to back.  The facing one will be non Christmas, and turn the wallet round and it shows Christmas dies!  Will be easy when they are in a storage box - just turn the box round and I can flick through my Christmas dies!

I will label the wallets in due course, so I can flick through them quickly.

Next project ... stamp storage!

Thanks for reading.  Comments are welcome!  Heather x

Great storage idea, Heather. I've also been looking into this a bit recently and have been thinking along the same lines. I've got quite a few dies now (bought a lot at the beginning of the year) and they do need better organising.

Hi Heather. What a great storage idea - love it. Putting the Christmas dies on the back is good - keeps them separate but so close that they are easy to reach when you fancy a bit of a Christmas splurge!!
Take care. God bless.
