If anyone has found any 'hours' then please can I have them - I seem to be constantly chasing my tail, and running out of time. I'm therefore preparing this post on Tuesday evening for a number of reasons: 1) to ensure I join in WOYWW 2) nothing will change on my desk overnight 3) I don't have a deskshot this week 4) I am at the GP's in the morning for a flu jab.
So I thought I would share with you what I have been up to. Kind of crafting with a difference to my normal pastimes. To save you scrolling through lots of photos, I've created a GIF for them, with details underneath of each photo
Crocheter, gardener and truffle maker!
First up, some wool, and then my first ever attempt at crochet.
My potting shed, with my pretty new oil cloth, not yet fitted but I was keen to see it in place!
A couple of close ups of new fun planters.
Some plants awaiting their new home on the embankment, and the latest stage of the waterfall in the background
A few pots with some lovely lavender and other plants.
A present from Mr M - a Hydropod that allows you to grow new plants from cuttings ... watch this space!
A present from me to me - a small greenhouse that fits just in front of the potting shed.
Some sample truffles - practice run for wedding favours. I've never made them before but they didn't turn out too badly. The white chocolate and raspberry ones are a hit apparently.
I also made the place cards for Nic's wedding. Only 15 are needed now, as they have been forced to reduce the numbers even further! Such a shame, but in the greater scheme of things, far worse things are happening to people. We will still have a wonderful day I'm sure. Three weeks to go - I think I need to go and buy my outfit!
I had my appointment with the spinal consultant. Followed by CT scans, followed by a callback for more CT scans, and now awaiting a follow up appointment. No dancing for me for a little while!
Next week I might have a desk full of goodies to share, as I got carried away with a bit of retail therapy! Predominantly scrapbooking albums, and inserts. I think I ordered enough to scrapbook my entire life!
Have a lovely week, and please leave a comment if you stop by. I will visit as many desks as I can, although it may take a day or two! Take care, Heather

Good to see you Heather and glad that the wedding is still able to go ahead, albeit with reduced numbers. What lovely wool, planters and muffins. Hope the follow up to the CT scan comes through soon. Still waiting for my follow up from MRI on 24th July. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
I admire your brinkmanship in not having your outfit with three weeks to go to the wedding! Thought I was th only one who did mad things like that. The truffles look lush and perfect for wedding favours, heart shaped welsh cakes seem to be the in thing here. Love all the little plants etc , you'll be like Monty Don in no time at all, lol. Hope the appt goes ok today.
Hugs LLJ 2 xxx
I hope you get somewhere with the CT scans - not that I did , nor the x-ray which had to have special permission apparently for it to be done. I never knew that until then.
I am sure the wedding will be lovely with its 15 guests, I groaned when I heard it as I thought straight away of you. Do remember to let me have a look at your outfit, I can't wait to see what you choose - always the highlight for me - seeing what everyone wears.
Gosh Heather, handmade chocolates as well, they loo delicious!
Loe the other new makes and good luck with the plants and the crochet.
hugs, Neet 8 xx
Hi Heather, lots of fab pics in that gif. Had my flu jab last week too.The truffles sound amazing, white chocolate & Raspberry is a favourite of mine. I'm sure the wedding will be a lovely occasion, it is sad for all those people getting married this year. Hope the news is good from the CT scans- I have so many of them sometimes I feel like a barcode, lol. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X #6.
Hi Heather. good to see you today - my word, you are certainly busy at the moment. The truffles look amazing... yum! Yes, 15 isn't a lot for a wedding - but the important thing is the ceremony, the commitment - someone, I'm sure, will be there taking lots of photos, and soon the internet will be zinging as they fly around those who can no longer be present. I wish you well for the day. Not long to go now!!! I am assuming you are in local lockdown? We go into that tomorrow evening!
Trusting the scans go well and the results are good.
Take care. God bless.

The chopping and changing is so annoying isnt it even if necessary. Take care xx Helen #3
Hi Heather, nice seeing you again! I'm getting a potting shed too - we bought it back in June - it was supposed to be here end of September - and now it won't be here until middle of November! Which means I'll miss the most important part of the season to try overwinter my plants - I'll have to use the conservatory in the meantime. I couldn't really take a good look at your pictures because they were changing so fast, but from what I've seen it's a nice little potting shed! Happy WOYWW - hope you'll find some time soon doing things you enjoy! xx zsuzsa #21
Ah, a potting shed. We used to have one, but not in this house. Hubby has just said he thinks it's time to bring all the chilli plants inside.... oh dear.
Like the gif idea! lots of photos in a small space. Had the flu jab and they surprised me by saying "Oh yes, she should have the pneumonia one too.." so I got it in both arms LOL! And HEY - *I* used to make chocolates too, every Christmas, for all my workmates. I think I took all my molds and wrappers, etc to Goodeill when we finally cleared out the storage unit in the USA (10 years never touched? Yeah. It almost all went save the books...)
And lastly, who doesn't love a squishy pile of pastel wool? Even when it's not wool but yarn?
Happy WOYWW!

Well goodness Heather, I know why you are chasing your tail.....you have so many projects on the table!!! LOLOL But oh I love each one!! I don't crochet, but I do knit and it's time for me to get back to my blanket that I put to the side over the summer! I must finish it!! I love your potting shed area and your new greenhouse! I am green with envy as that is my second love next to crafting!! And those truffles!!!!!! So glad I wasn't around for a taste test....you know what they say....once across the lips...STRAIGHT to the hips! LOLOL Blessings you and happy crafting! Felicia, #26
Happy WOYWW. Crochet is a craft that I just can't master. I can sort-of knit, but anything involving a hook just doesn't seem to get into my head. I am having my flu jab (the first for many years) on Tuesday next week. It used to leave me with a very sore arm and mild flu symptoms for a few days, so hoping that I don't suffer too much. I hope also that you are ok this evening. I want some cupcakes now - but trying not to eat cakes etc on doctor's orders. Ali x #8
I'm surprised you have a tail left to chase with all that you've been up too Heather hee hee.. my gosh give yourself a pat on the back. Potting sheds always remind me of my dear Grandad, always something needing to be repotted or set aside to grow from seed. I'm already making plans for Spring and it's only just Autumn. I can imagine the handmade truffles are delicious anything with raspberry is always a winner for me. I'm sure the Wedding will be just as delightful 15 is better than non.
Best wishes Tracey #7 xx
Hi Heather looks like you've been busy. The truffles look scrummy. I have a greenhouse and used to grow all kinds of things but somehow I got bored with it or found other things to do but it's so nice growing your own. Wishing you a happy week and a very creative woyww, Angela x12x

Ah - such a lovely little slide show of all your activities! The chocs look yummy - a great idea for wedding favours. Well done on the crochet work - once you get into it, it is so theraputic. You have been busy - no wonder you think time flies! xx Jo

Thank you for your visit last week, Heather, and I'm sorry to be so long replying. I got very busy towards the end of the week. Your comment about your cross stitch birth chart for your 8-year-old grandson made me laugh!! Brilliant. Sounds just like my sort of UFO lol! Maybe you could save it for his son when the time comes? Haha! I finished Tiny Carpet #4 and I think it's my favourite so far! It sounds as if you plan your meals very much as I do. The only reason I put the smoked paprika in the tomato soup was that I wanted the smoky flavour that the bacon imparted, and no longer eating bacon, I thought it would make a good substitute, and it does add that extra kick. The soup would be absolutely fine without it, though. I like the addition of the sliced baby corn which gives a nice crunchy texture. It's the only soup I don't liquidise. I do hope you try it, and let me know how you get on.
I can't see you on this week's WOYWW list so I hope you are OK.
Shoshi x
