WOYWW 532

Good morning ladies.  I'm back!  Fully refreshed and raring to go, and time to take part in the best blog hop courtesy of Julia and WOYWW.

A little bit of crafty shopping was done on holiday, but no crafting.   Far too much to do exploring and days out and generally having fun.

When we got home, I went to a local shopping outlet for some new bedding and a few crafty  goodies fell in my basket!  Bargain stamps from Sheena, £2 for a bag of 3 or 4 stamps!  Centre stage (or desk) is an ATC from dear Shaz in Oz, received on Monday.  Thank you Shaz, its lovely.

I used a new stamp I bought a few weeks ago, to make some background for some Gorjuss cards.  Just not got round to finishing them off yet.  I also bought some Gemini Junior plates as I read about using those in the full size Gemini and they don't warp as much.  I'll let you know!

That's all for me, short and sweet.  Please leave a message so I know you stopped by.  I'll be round to visit either at lunchtime or evening.  Have a lovely  week, Heather xx

Oooh, that sounds like a good deal - I like the cat stamp a lot! Pretty cards too in different colour schemes. I think with any plates, you're always better off with smallest you can get away with. Ironically, I've just had to buy the extended plates for my Big Shot because they're needed for the XL dies, but I know they will warp like there's no tomorrow! That's just the way they are. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #19

I too use the smaller plates in my full size Gemini but they do still warp...I'm afraid it is just the nature of the beast! Good luck with yours. I love the pieces you are doing getting ready to make cards. Just going to be wonderful!

The cat stamp reminds me of the Siameseseses from Lady and the Tramp! I bet you'll use that loads....I find with fabric that you can get loads of dog prints but the cat ones tend to be a bit twee! Glad you had a good holiday, it's nice to see you back on the desks though.

So glad you had a wonderful holiday. And managed to do some shopping on your return. That is a bargain getting those stamps for £2, hope we get to see them in use soon.
Nice frames and backgrounds for your favourite stamps, will we get a show next week? Also hope that the new plates work and do last longer.
Sorry but my back seems to be going worse not better and no good news from this morning. We WILL get a play day some time, just not at the moment. Sorry about that.
Aah well, Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Great to see you back Missus. Sounds like you had a good break; i never craft on holiday. I take my embroidery because it weighs nothing, but I rarely do anything to even that, I think I’ve programmed myself into ‘needing’ to break from it!! My word those Sheena stamps were a bargain, I hope to see lots and many cards from them, fill me with ideas will you?!!

Meant to say, thats a useful bit of knowledge about the Gemini plates, will pass that to Shopkeeper Gal who suffers enormously from bent plates!!

Morning Heather, sorry i'm a little later than planned. Welcome back. Nice little selection of bargains there. I'm sure I have those stamps under years worth of Sheena stamps. Have fun using them.
I think the plates are supposed to buckle and bend a bit so they can get into every bit of the design. I use smaller plates when using smaller dies in my Bigshot pro but they too have a tendency to warp under the strain.
Have fun experimenting... Happy WoywW Hugs Tracey #14

I'd like to say good morning back Heather but it's a bit late for that but I will get round everyone no matter what, don't like to miss anyone out. You have some great projects on the go there and it sounds like you've had some shopping fun too. Have a great creative week, and a happy belated woyww, Angela x15x

Lots of lovely fun stash for your to play with, Heather! Thank you for your visit last week and I'm sorry to be such ages replying and visiting you. I have only just emerged from underneath an enormous pile of veggies... Prepping in advance certainly does help. I'm getting into this new way of eating now, and finding I am wasting less as I get better at organising things. I am now planning to get a bigger fridge!!

Happy extremely belated WOYWW,
