WOYWW 561

Once again Wednesday has sneaked round super fast.  I'm prepping this on Tuesday evening as my desk won't change overnight, and I have an early start in the morning.  All in a good cause - a world wide desk hop around the best blogs, courtesy of Julia and WOYWW

My main desk has a scrapbook that I am working on, that is for our family holidays, days out, barbecues, christmas celebrations - our grandchildren adore the Santa Express train!  On top of that are some Lego Ninjago characters for colouring and making into birthday cards.  To the right at the back are my floral sample folders for cards I have made.

Side desk has my travel scrapbook, covering the travels that Mr M and I have been on during our 9 years together.  We have managed to pack in a lot of travelling!  I wrote a list of the different countries we had visited and there were 23 different countries - and a handful of them we have visited a few times!  Two more countries to add to the list this year - Corfu and Trinidad & Tobago.  I might need a new scrapbook soon.  The blue tubs are repurposed washing tablet tubs that now hold my cards that I sell at work.  It's easier to divide them up into categories, just need a few more tubs.  The papers at front right are out of the various scrapbooks I am working on.  Each one had 4 sheets of this lovely parchment coloured paper.  Once I have mastered the art of calligraphy, I am going to get cracking with some family trees.  Both my parents and all my aunties and uncles have all passed on a long time ago, so me thinks this will be a lengthy process.

That's all for me.  Please leave a message so I know you stopped by, I do love to read them.  Have a lovely week Heather xx

As soon as I spied your name I had to com and see what you had been up to. Nice to see you doing some paper-crafting again. Love your Ninjago figure, must confess I have never heard of them but I guess the little ones keep you up to date.
Gosh Heather, you have a wonderful holiday planned, Trinidad and Tobago sounds like a dream of a place to visit, and 23 is a huge number of places - and all crammed into nine years! Phew! I'd love to hear about your holiday when you have been, and see some photos.
Good luck with the calligraphy and the family tree.
Hugs, Neet 8 xx

It's good to see you on the desks again! And you've been busy, look at all those cards you sell at work, good stuff! 23 countries is quite amazing, I'd like to go to Corfu very much as I've done a lot of the Med but never there.

Your albums sound so lovely, Heather. Even before they are completed, they will be wonderful keepsakes. You certainly have done a lot of travelling. I love your repurposing of the containers - I do this a lot too - I’ve got stacks of boxes that my stoma bags come in lol!! I also use those Chinese takeaway boxes, and I use a lot of those in the kitchen.

Happy WOYWW,

Good to make plans for a holiday.... with all the Coronavirus talk it can be quite depressing. Much rather hear from people who have some delight in exploring our beautiful world.

23 countries in 9 years...my word that’s a lorry travels! How marvellous, would love to page through your scrapbooks! Am deeply intrigued by your ‘floral sample folders’ and need to know more please. No hurry, just nosey. Are they to carry samples to and fro to customers? Are they are permanent store for cards that you make and keep for reference? Did you make the folders? HOw? If you bought them, where from? Huh? Huh? Huh? See...this is why I like to look at desks - I’m clearly missing something Heather!!

Hi Heather, great stuff on your desk, and that is a lot of places visited. Corfu is lovely, we love the Greek islands, and the Greek people. One word of warning- take PLENTY of Mosquito spray with you! Corfu is where every mozzie and it's family go on holiday. There were people looking like plague victims getting the flight home. The family tree will probably be a huge project I agree. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

Wow - 23 countries! I have been to exactly 3...but I do live vicariously through my DD's travels! Making those scrapbooks must be so much fun, bringing back all those awesome memories! I worked on my family tree a few years ago, so much fun finding out things I would never have known, such as on my father's side they were the pioneers travelling in wagon trains to settle the West, California to be exact. I'm sure you will find some surprises in your family as well! Have a great week, Lindart #22

You sound so industrious. What a lot of albums you have on the go but with so many travels to record it's no surprise. You will love Corfu, it's one of my favourite places, we've been many times.
I have so many photos to scrapbook, you have inspired me to get cracking again.
I love your recycling of the washing tab pots, that's a great idea.
Have a good week

Thanks for your visit, Heather - so glad you like my Celtic knots. I definitely need more practice with the Distress Oxide sprays and I'm watching some Youtube videos for inspiration. I'm so sorry you've got to go through that awful procedure which sounds very painful and unpleasant - also having a wisdom tooth out isn't fun. The one they took out of me was very reluctant to make an exit! I was soooo glad once that was over!

How wonderful that you have been able to travel so extensively Heather. Your scrapbook must be so interesting. My Werder Bremen mug was bought at the fan shop in Berlin as we go with school each year. Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #1

Hi Heather, back again. I did want to say that we came back without a bite between us, but we'd packed both the pump action Jungle Formula, and the wipes too. I also take 'after bite' pens, I got mine in Poundland. Found they are very effective in stopping any itching from bites. Hugs, Shaz X

oh geeze that is a lot of traveling Heather. ( I cannot imagine) (and I have yet to leave the US) :) but, I have been up and down and back and forth through it though & we got our passports this winter so we can keep doing that. ( I am rolling my eyes) those look like a really useful size of bins for sorting things too. ~Stacy #29
