WOYWW 608

I can't believe we are on the last WOYWW of the month - it doesn't seem 2 minutes since we were celebrating Christmas!  I didn't quite get round to tidying my desk - so much to do, so little time!  However we are here to bare all, and join in with desk sharing,  courtesy of Julia and The Stamping Ground.  So here it is ...

At the back of the desk, taking centre stage is the remaining magazines for me to go through and extract the pages I want.  I'll be glad when that job is finished.  To the left is an order just received from Hunkdory - so much for sticking to my crafty budget, and in the corner is my family tree, which I've been working on this week.  To the right is bits and pieces I have yet to put away that have either been used in my junk journal, or I think I will use in my journal.  Some of them are ideas I took out of the magazines of things I would like to try, which I'm going to use in a monthly H.A.G. challenge to myself, time permitting.   Centre stage front is my junk journal - I like to keep it open whilst I'm working.

A couple of pics of the last 7 days pages to show I'm still junk journalling - and more importantly still having fun with it!   I know they are cropped, so I've loaded individual pics here for anyone interested.

Not a great deal of crocheting this week.  I'm thinking of calling the Jan Blan complete, once I add a border, as it is starting to stretch.  The next one, I dont think I will do as wide.  I've finished Emily's hat, apart from the pompom - just awaiting a delivery (thanks Jan for the enabling)!!  I've just started on the scarf - I'm guessing the size on both scarf and hat, so fingers crossed!

Have a lovely week, Heather x

Oh your junk journal is lovely - what a lot of text (a total weakness of mine) and some really fun pages. So different, which shows you are really stretching yourself to try new things. That is the best part of journaling, for me - I just love the sheer playfulness of it all! Keep at it, I sure love seeing it and I can;t be the only one.....

Happy WOYWW - NOT at the hospital today but with a thumping headache yet determined to WOYWW nonetheless! Best day of my week…

Are all of these loose pages. Am sure we discussed this on Zoom but I cannot remember. Just wondering if they are how you are going to bind them? I recognise some of the pages as being hand stamped but wonder if the others are hand drawn or cut out from somewhere - love the Alice page (obviously as I love Alice and all to do with her) but cannot think you have drawn all of that. If you did hats off to you. Love the different styles of writing you are trying out. Well done you. I need to take a leaf out of your book.
Congratulations on keeping on doing them, shows strength of character.
Take care and stay safe and well, Hugs, Neet 9 xx

You’re welcome, lol!! I warn you though, once you start, you can’t stop and will be wanting to add pom-poms onto everything *grin*. I’m doing granny squares at the moment but am going to send them off to The Gift of Warmth so someone else can do the sewing up, which I DETEST! Striped blankets are so much easier. You have been a busy gal this week, lots of fun and interesting things to snoop around!

Hi Heather, it looks busy and fun :) I had seen somewhere recently (most likely SCS) there was some try a new technique that needed magazine pages for some reason so, I didn't actually read through it after that but, it made me grin to see your stack. (might be a good idea to keep a few colorful pages for things like that not tutorials but, just photos I think?) ~Stacy #33

Looks like I'm not the only one that's trying to sort out the magazines, I still have too many though sadly. Great journal pages too. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x18x

I really should sort out all my craft mags - I must have well over a hundred and I rarely look at them tbh. I think the main thing about any crafting at the moment is to have fun - anything hat works as a distraction must be a good thing! Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, Cindy xx #8

Heather, I love your journal pages. I don't do junk journaling, but it looks fun from the site of yours! You will have to give us a flip through at some point!! The mushrooms are great! I'm a huge mushroom fan! And the bunnies are cuteness as well! Make sure you give us a show of the Jan Blan once you get the border on! I think it was looking pretty fabulous as the last time you posted it! Take care and many blessings. Felicia #28

I love all your pages, Heather, especially the one about being bonkers! That is definitely a description of Yours Truly. Such lovely bright colours and awesome lettering too. What a fabulous journal.

Thank you for your visit. You are right, I am embroidering the features of the cat faces. Most of the cat squares are made as plain squares and will have cat faces, whole cats, paw prints etc. appliquéd afterwards, with finer details added with embroidery. It's a bit more complicated working the cat face into the square as you make it, and part of the reason why the latest design takes so long is that I keep going wrong and having to undo it!

Lol lol - "what kind of car did you learn in?" "A red one!" Hahaha!! Love it. Some of these sayings get set in stone in the family annals, don't they, especially if your family members are anything like my Dad was - memory like an elephant! (At least until the poor man developed dementia at the end...) He would tease me endlessly about stuff I'd said 30 years ago!

Lily and Ruby certainly have got the right idea about comfort, you are right there. My hubby actually brought another chair into the sitting room today to avoid having to disturb them! He spoils them rotten. Pics next Wednesday.

Thank you for your support over my hospital saga. They can't pass the buck higher than the Chief Executive, I suppose, but we'll have to wait and see if anything comes of it. I'm getting to the stage when I'm no longer holding my breath.

Happy belated WOYWW,
