WOYWW 455

Hello fellow deskers. Time for my weekly tour of your work desks, courtesy of Julia and WOYWW.  I'm a bit late today as I have been to my first cardiac rehab class this morning. 50 minutes of warm ups, exercises and cool down, followed by a chat and a welcome glass of juice.

Mr M spent Sunday putting up my remaining cupboard and my shelves, so I now have all the storage space I could possibly need.  I managed to put everything away, and still got space for IF I buy more goodies! Anyway on to my desk ... a pathetic attempt really.  I managed to make one card panel. And that was only because I wanted to try out a new stencil, and some new stamps! So my desk looks very tidy ... to the left is a basket with 6x6 paper pads, in front are my new stamps. To the right of the basket is the new stencils. My ink Dusters are in the tin at the back of the desk, and the card front looks very lonely in the middle!

And now I have two desks, here is the other, complete with all my wall cupboards!  Mr M also installed under cabinet lighting, which looks great at night, but can't really be seen in the daylight. I hope he doesn't take too long replacing the ceiling light fitting as it spoilt my photo!  There is not much to see on the desk, i had put almost everything away.

And the final photo is the new shelves.
I'm going to Leigh Papercraft show on 4th March and I also booked myself on a Lavinia Stamps workshop on 10th March ... oooh I feel like a proper crafter!

I'll be visiting desks as soon as I've made a cup of coffee! Thanks for stopping by and please do leave a comment, I love to read them, Heather xx

There's lots to love on your post this week! Those drawers in the last pic for example, ooooh they're fabulous, I have drawer envy now :-D. And that stencil on the card is just brilliant, I'd have bought that too! Your new crafting area is really shaping up nicely and under cupboard lighting sounds a genius idea.

Isn't it nice to have room, just in case, you might, at some point in the future, need to buy more. LOL! Mr. M did a great job with those shelves! I love that card - I would like to see a close up of it! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #29

Hi Heather, I think you probably mean when rather than if lol. I go with the old adage 'your crafty stash will increase to fit the space you have for it'. That Clarity stencil looks really good on your card so nothing to be ashamed of there! Have a good week. Sarah #7

Whoo Hoo - you are going to Leigh. I am so excited - we get to meet at last.
You have such a gorgeous craft room - you must be so happy to sit in it and I can imagine I would have just sat there and marvelled at it rather than crafted - well for a while.
Love your card.

Your room is really coming together now, isn't it, Heather. You've got a very tidy desk! I love all your shelves and storage. I remember I had such fun organising mine, and now I'm reorganising again. I don't think you ever get it perfect - it's always a work in progress! Thank you for your lovely comment. I am hoping to get back to the mystery project soon - no time today I'm afraid.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Heather, The craft room looks great but I'm sure given time you will fill all that space Lol! I'm sure you will have something nice to show us after the Papercraft show. I hope you have a lovely time with Tracey too. I have known them for a very long time and have done some fabric samples for them in the past, one of which is on the front page of my blog. Tracey's stamps are brilliant but you already know that. Hope we get to see the results of the workshop. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x16x

Heather, are route in the "art" world has taken a somewhat similar route. Sewing, bead work work and other sewing crafts were my world until I found no need for clothes other than casual, and carpal tunnel ruled out hand work. I discovered art journaling. Over 10 to 12 years it has taken over and sewing machine is used for stitching paper. Cards are not my thing as I am not neat enough. Yours are looking great. Thanks for visiting life is returning to normal and hubby is on the mend.

Happy Belated WOYWW. Your craft room is fantastic. Lovely solid storage. I actually found an empty drawer in my craft room today. Obviously I had to put some stuff in it! Your lonely card front is fabulous. I have been watching YouTube videos today to get some tips on stencilling. Ali x #13

Hi Heather, Looks like you lucked out in the handy husband category. those shelves look so tidy :) ( and YAY that is smart to have room for growth, stuff you know breeds in the dark at night when you are sleeping lol) ( is what hubs says as he hauls in packages from the mailbox with a wink) ~Stacy #32

Hi Heather. I do so hope you are enjoying yourself here in North Wales - I LOVE it here, and would be very sad if \I needed to move away... I went to the Leigh show last year - it was really good - not huge, but some different stalls from some of the shows. I expect Neet will be demo-ing again. I do so hope you will come over to the crop in September - the group really are a great bunch!
I like the card front - gorgeous. Well done.
Take care. God bless.
