Good morning all,
Apologies for not visiting desks a couple of weeks ago - by early evening I felt rubbish and just went to bed, and did nothing but work and sleep for a few days. I'm far too old to burn the candle at both ends now!
Having only been in this merry band of crafters for a few years, I didn't know Shaz as well as many of you did. I had the pleasure of meeting her and Doug a few times at Crops and Port Sunny, and loved reading all her posts - for a newbie crafter her tips and reviews were brilliant! She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. RIP Shaz xx
Here is my main desk in all it's non-crafting glory. Its still my workdesk, as there is no sign of us returning to the office yet. Although my mojo has deserted me, (so I need a little bit of playing catch up with my journal), I did re-arrange my worktop to give me more space. The Gemini at one end, and the Scan & Cut relocated next to my printer. I also discovered I have way too much paper! (Large tub in the rh corner is the overflow that does not fit in my Bisley drawers).
I did manage to make the pompoms and finish Emily's hat and scarf, so they were posted and she loved them.

Not surprised Emily loved the hat and scarf Heather, they are lovely. The new rearranged work space looks great. Stay safe. Sarah #6
What a sweet little set! I can imagine the joy opening up that package must have sparked. So many of use have spent time tidying up. I feel an avalanche of crafting coming now...
Hugs to all on a sad WOYWW day.

Cute little hat, great colour! I think we’ve all been a bit mojo-less this week and many folks have been having a sort out, I think it’s helping deal with the sadness about Shaz.

Such a sweet little hat and scarf set - I love the pretty colour wool.
Shaz will indeed be missed.
Have a good week, stay safe and well,

Love the view of your desk Heather, it really shows it off in all of its glory.
Yes, I think a few of us have had a mojo-less week following the weekend news. We knew it was inevitable but it still comes as a shock and a jolt to your whole system. I know I can't seem to do a thing but I have a journal challenge (my partner is a no nonsense type of person and she won't take 'no' for an answer) so I have to do something for that today.
You have made a fabulous hat and it cannot fail to be a hit with Emily.
Take care of you Missus.
Hugs, Neet 17 xx
I remember how your crafty space looked when you were first putting it all together Hazel, my how creativity has taken over every inch. Must be a lovely space to sit in whilst you work, knowing it is all close by. The woolens look nice and warm with the big pom pom. Hope you get some creative time soon. I think we all have way too much paper in our stash.. Take care Hugs Tracey #3 xx
Your shelving unit right above your desk is enviable! So much storage there! Lovely job on the hat and scarf! xx zsuzsa #31
Hi Heather. What a great hat and scarf. Noo wonder Emily loved them. Well done.
Take care. God bless.

It certainly sounds like there's been a lot of shuffling of stuff generally across the community doesn't it? I love the colour of the hat - like proper strawberry ice-cream with little bits of actual strawberry in. Much love on this difficult day, Lisa-Jane #7
Well Heather, you certainly have a cozy desk!!! I love how lovely and organized it is!! Sorry, you are in a bit of a slump. I think we all go through it. Something will spark and then you will be able to take off again. Or at least that is how it has seemed to happen for me. It's so weird like that how we move in ebbs and flows!! But maybe we just need to let our minds rest from time to time!! LOL Love the hat and scarf colors!! Too sweet! Blessings to you and stay safe! Felicia #34
Your space looks so inviting and tidy. The hat and scarf are lovely - sorry I am a bit late getting round. Take care xx Soojay 32
We all learned lots from Shaz about the crafting and the items she reviewed and shared... she will be sorely missed in lots of ways but her enthusiasm for trying new things the most. Love the hat and scarf. Helen #2
Your workspace is awesome! Everything is so organized!
The scarf and hat are beautiful!

I started off okay today with the visits, walked dogs and went into the cabin and now I don't know where the time went to! Your desk looks great, very organised and ready and waiting for your return! Shaz will never have really left us because her blog will keep her alive for us and I can tell you it wont be the last time I pop over there for some ideas when I get stuck, God Bless her. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela,x18x
Lovely hat and scarf. I do hope you are feeling better. I know what it is to overdo things. Angela #21
Beautiful hat and scarf, glad it was appreciated by its recipient.
Thanks for sharing

Tidying up usually sparks the mojo Heather, get ready for a session! a sorry you’ve been feeling rubbish, it must be hard to work from home when really you are poorly and shouldn’t go to work. Lovely soft and squishy knitted set, so comfy! looks as though winter hasn’t finished with us yet, so it will be well used. I’m struggling with the idea that you have ‘too much paper’, I think on the contrary, you simply don’t have enough storage!!!!
Your desk looks so interesting!
Lovely hat and scarf!

I bet Emily loved the hat and scarf - they look really cosy. I love the flecked wool. Pompom hats are so popular this year - lots of folk out walking with them on. xx Jo
Your room is lovely, Heather, and so is Emily's hat and scarf set! You've done a great job there. I love how you've put pompoms on the scarf as well as the hat.
Still reeling and devastated about the news of Shaz's death. I still can't believe she's gone and will never again post on her fabulous blog. I am glad Doug is keeping it up because it's a brilliant resource for everybody, and it will also serve as a beautiful memorial of a lovely lady and a very talented crafter. I'm glad you enjoyed my "chemo hair" - it caused a great deal of fun during my treatment and staff and patients alike all loved it. I was happy to do something that could lift everybody's spirits. Actually, the unit where I had my chemo was such a happy place - I was really surprised at this. The very first time I went there, as I came in, the first thing I heard was laughter. I shall never, ever forget their kindness.
Thank you for your visit - your comment made me smile on several counts! So glad you've got our corner with all the rescue teams to dig us out! It's very reassuring.
Lol - I hadn't thought about "random" and "arrangement" - a bit of an oxymoron, eh? Sometimes true randomness does throw up pattern or a certain regularity, and I don't want that! When I do my "random arrangement" on the floor of Mum's bedroom, I shall think of you and smile!
I had an email back from Tesco today saying that they sometimes have fewer things online than they do in store. This is apparently to make it more streamlined for customers and pickers. She said they had plenty on the shelves in one store (her local one?) so it clearly hasn't been discontinued. She took on board my comment and is contacting the store manager of the Tesco that does my deliveries, and hopefully it will be back again soon. I said it was essential that they had at least one plain non-dairy yoghurt that was sugar-free.
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi x #25
Your crafty space looks lovelyand tidy and very inviting! I have shelves as it was eaier and quicker for hubby to put them up. I sometimes wonder how much weight they can hold! love the finished hat and scarf, lovely colour! Keep Crafting! Stay Safe! very late WOYWW ((Lyn)) #13
