WOYWW 456

Happy WOYWW to everyone!  Along with many others I am surrounded by snow!  My rear garden.  Thankfully my grandsons are not here or they would be shouting to sledge down the embankment... And probably ruin my rose bushes!  We are lucky enough to use as much or as little of the embankment as we want.

I received my magazine on Monday and there were some travel stamps and papers which prompted me go get out my travel scrapbook album, which I started work on last year.  Not a lot of progress but I am planning on completing a few pages over the next week.  Watch this space!

My other desk is clean again.  My daughter wants me to make her some labels for her pasta, flour jars etc for her pantry (glad to see they are making a comeback!).  I bought this die then realised I can cut them in the scan & cut ... oh well, I will remember next time! Still getting used to having it.  I also bought some cheap calligraphy pens just to have a go and see if I like it.  Still in the box unused, just like so many things ....

Highlight of the coming weekend will be the Leigh show ... And I am meeting Neet! My first meet up with any of you lovely ladies.  Although I was tempted to track down Margaret last weekend when we were in North Wales, but time ran away with us.  Never mind I shall meet Margaret and a lot of you at the Crop in September!

Please leave a comment, I do love to read them.  Heather x

WOYWW 455

Hello fellow deskers. Time for my weekly tour of your work desks, courtesy of Julia and WOYWW.  I'm a bit late today as I have been to my first cardiac rehab class this morning. 50 minutes of warm ups, exercises and cool down, followed by a chat and a welcome glass of juice.

Mr M spent Sunday putting up my remaining cupboard and my shelves, so I now have all the storage space I could possibly need.  I managed to put everything away, and still got space for IF I buy more goodies! Anyway on to my desk ... a pathetic attempt really.  I managed to make one card panel. And that was only because I wanted to try out a new stencil, and some new stamps! So my desk looks very tidy ... to the left is a basket with 6x6 paper pads, in front are my new stamps. To the right of the basket is the new stencils. My ink Dusters are in the tin at the back of the desk, and the card front looks very lonely in the middle!

And now I have two desks, here is the other, complete with all my wall cupboards!  Mr M also installed under cabinet lighting, which looks great at night, but can't really be seen in the daylight. I hope he doesn't take too long replacing the ceiling light fitting as it spoilt my photo!  There is not much to see on the desk, i had put almost everything away.

And the final photo is the new shelves.
I'm going to Leigh Papercraft show on 4th March and I also booked myself on a Lavinia Stamps workshop on 10th March ... oooh I feel like a proper crafter!

I'll be visiting desks as soon as I've made a cup of coffee! Thanks for stopping by and please do leave a comment, I love to read them, Heather xx

WOYWW 454

Good morning fellow desk hoppers.  Happy WoYWW to all of you.  Sadly no crafting has been carried out this week.  Unpacking of boxes and trying to arrange everything has been fun though.  All boxes unpacked, not quite everything put away, but once my extra wall cupboard and shelves are installed then I should be ship shape and crafty.  Mr M decided my slide out desk would be better affixed to the Ikea drawers than a leg. Who am I to argue? The wicker baskets were in the Kallax unit. I've emptied most of them, and they will be donated to my daughter.

I figured if I can't craft, then I can at least shop.  Some items I bought at the craft fair at event city in Manchester, some at Inspirations, then off to the works and the range. All good fun.  Some stencils, a 3D embossing folder, some stencil card, more stencils, some glitter card, a couple of packs of 'manly' paper, some glue, some watercolour pencils, washi tape, the list goes on ... and on ...and I had put some stuff away!

I have my grandsons over this weekend, so the room will not be finished, but I'm hoping to make some birthday cards soon!

Thanks for stopping by, and please leave a comment so I can come and visit you! Heather xx

WOYWW 453

Happy Wednesday everyone

My first WOYWW in a few weeks.  I now have a desk.  Not quite finished but visibly it looks like a craft room, so I'm almost there. No crafting has been done yet, and most of my 'stuff' is still in boxes but I at least feel like I can show off a pic this week!  If you want to know more then click here

I'll do my visiting later when I get home from work.  Please do leave a comment so I now you stopped by, and I can pop by your desk!

Thanks, Heather xx
