WOYWW 448

Good morning and Happy New Year!  The first WOYWW of 2018, and what a blustery morning it is here in Lancashire! My desk this morning has the spoils of a shopping trip to Hobbycraft, and as my Wedding Scrapbook is almost complete, I decided a Travel Scrapbook would be next.  Plus I wanted to use the Scan n Cut, and experiment with it straight away.
So, back to my desk, there are some clouds, airplanes and notebook pages, and a sunshine.  All just basic stuff, but I'm having fun with my new toy.  From the shopping trip, there are a couple of Tim Holtz dies (including a big snowflake for next Christmas), some new brushes and paints, and a few packs of 6 x 6 card blanks that were on special offer.  A trip to B&Q was next, and new units and worktop for my craft room have been ordered, and are due for delivery later this month, so I have two weeks to pack everything away.  But I want to play with my new toy.... oh well, it will be worth it, I'm sure.  I'll do my visiting after work today!  Please leave a comment so I know you stopped by ... I do love reading them, Heather xx

Interested to see how you go on with your Scan'n Cut. A good way to have a tidy up by buying new units. Have a good week. Anickoana#7 & 14 apparently 7 doesn't work.

From one Lancashire Lass to another.
Get the Scan n Cut on the dining table and then you can play between packing. This new craft-room sounds wonderful, wish I could justify buying some units for mine but spent too much on the room already so it will have to do.
Enjoy and stay in touch with us, step by step photos please.
Happy New Year, Neet 2 xx

Happy WOYWW. Another new Scan n' Cut. Definitely getting jealous now. I have been eyeing them up since their launch when ever that was, and they are getting cheaper, so might give in and get one soon. New craft storage too! I look forward to seeing that. Ali x #9

Hi Heather, some nice goodies from Hobbycraft. You will love your room with the new storage, I'm sure, so will be worth the hassle of packing stuff away. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX

How exciting to get some new units and worktops - almost as exciting as the scan & cut! Just make the most of the next two weeks playing and then pack everything in a day - that's what I would do! Packing shouldn't take that long - just chuck things into boxes. The unpacking might take longer, when you want to find a permanent place for everything, but then you know that at the end of it, you'll have a fully functional craft room! Enjoy! Have fun in 2018! zsuzsa #19

Hi Heather, sounds like a fun shopping trip and YAY! that you like the machine. ( I read somewhere people are putting fancy printed papers in it and scanning the shapes and cutting out those to play with on cards too.) Thanks for the earlier visit, ~Stacy #27

What fun you are having with your new Scan 'n Cut, Heather! So nice to have a new toy to play with. Other new fun stash too, and how exciting to have new units for your room, too. I remember when my studio was all fitted out, what fun I had finding homes for all my stuff (and then forgetting where I'd put everything lol!!)

Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment - yes, last year was pretty eventful and being so poorly at the beginning of the year put everything back, really, and then all this happening at the end of the year, with Mum dying and my hubby breaking his leg... All I crave is a little peace and quiet now, and to get my life back on track, but it looks as if I'll be back in hospital again fairly soon! Since my hubby retired and we moved here in 2013 we've had a great deal of stuff to deal with. Thank you for your kind words about my diet! When I look at those photos I'm absolutely horrified that I actually looked like that, and I hardly recognise myself! I was a blimp! I agree I look like a copletely different person!!

Happy New Year and happy WOYWW,

Ooh nice, a bit of a re-model with some new furniture. I’m guessing that packing up won’t be too difficult for you, I suspect that you’re very organised. And snap with the new toy, although you’re further ahead than me, I haven’t quite got as far as unpacking the cutting mats!

Oh like that you do themed scrapbooks, I just do chronological ones mostly. Thanks for the visit, sorry for the delay in replying BJ#15
